Ram Truck and the FCA Donated $100,000 to the First Response Team of America

At the beginning of this month, Ram Truck and the FCA donated $100,000 to the First Response Team of America in an effort to support those affected by the floods in Central Texas.

According to OffRoad.com, the First Response Team of America was on-site of the floods in Texas with their fleet of Rams delivering food, water, cleaning supplies and aiding in home site recovery.

Off-Road.com provided a statement from Bob Hegbloom, President and CEO – Ram Truck Brand, FCA US that said, “In Texas and across the nation Ram truck owners are the kinds of neighbors who are ready to lend a hand when you need it most.”

According to Top Speed, Ram also coordinated relief efforts with Ram Nation. Ram Nation is a truck owners association who volunteer their time to help in times of need.  They help with cleaning and rebuilding after disaster strikes.

Larry H. Miller Day of Service- Larry H. Miller Dodge Ram Avondale

Last Friday, Larry H. Miller employees in Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Colorado New Mexico, Oregon and Washington joined together for the company’s 6^th annual Day of Service. The Day of Service was started in honor of Larry H. Miller’s birthday, and is a tradition that will continue each year on April 24^th. 

Here in Arizona, Larry H. Miller employees combined forces to help out at the St. Vincent de Paul Urban Garden sorting hygiene items, and at the St. Vincent de Paul campuses preparing and serving meals. 


In other areas of the country, employees volunteered at Boys & Girls Clubs, shelters, food banks and more. They helped paint, weed gardens, clean, sort and serve meals.

Larry H. Miller Dodge Ram Avondale sponsors the Children's Miracle Network through Costco.
On Saturday May 24, 2014, Costco and Children's Miracle Network teamed up in a community outreach.

Costco has raised more than $211 million for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals since 1988. In May, Costco participates in a Miracle Balloon Campaign at all warehouses in the U.S. and Canada. Currently 500 warehouses in 100 markets participate in this campaign. The Avondale Costco location is open from 7:00am-11:00am throughout the end of May.

Larry H. Miller Dodge Ram Avondale- Preparing Your Vehicle for Summer

 The cold months are over and now it's time to plan for summer! Since most don't clean their vehicle out during the winter months, your car could probably use some cleaning before heading into the warmer weather. Below are some tips to help prepare your car for the summer months:

1. Remove everything from the inside that doesn’t belong or is creating clutter. Once you are done removing clutter, be sure to vacuum and dust the interior. Remove things such as:

• Empty water bottles
• Extra coats
• Camping supplies
• Old papers, notes, receipts, wrappers, etc

2. Wipe the interior down:

• Wipe down everything that isn't glass or fabric inside the car
• Use a dashboard cleaner to wipe the dashboard
• The cleaner can linger for a few weeks so make sure it's a smell that you enjoy

3. Periodic maintenance to prevent mechanical breakdown:

• Air Conditioning - Have this examined by one of our knowledgeable technicians
• Oil - Make sure you are changing your oil and oil filter every 3,000 miles
• Windshield wipers - A dirty windshield can be a safety hazard. Be sure that your windshield wipers are working properly and make sure there is plenty of windshield wiper fluid
• Tires - Make sure your tires are rotated every 5,000 miles and be sure to check your tire pressure once a month
